Luke McCormack, the chief information officer at the Justice Department, will be the new CIO at the Department of Homeland Security.

McCormack previously served as the CIO for Immigration and Customs Enforcement and at Customs and Border Protection as the acting director of infrastructure services, according to DHS.

DHS said McCormack will be involved in the agency’s data center consolidation, cloud computing and cybersecurity efforts.

Former DHS CIO Richard Spires resigned May 7. Margie Graves, the deputy CIO, has been the acting CIO since.
