Northrop Grumman has found a partner to provide cloud-based identity and access management services for Northrop’s offerings in government and health care. CA Technologies will add its CloudMinder system to Northrop’s products.

CloudMinder is a software-as-a-service system that provides user provisioning, self-service user management and an access request system; strong risk-based authentication; and federated single sign-on for both cloud-based and on-premise applications, according to a joint announcement.

“With identity federation and single sign-on, users can enter a single password to access any application, whether on the customer's government or company-owned cloud or on Northrop Grumman's cloud infrastructure,” the announcement reads.

"Protecting the security and privacy of our clients' information is a top concern for Northrop Grumman. Providing the right access to the right information is also particularly important in the health IT market," said Amy Caro, vice president of health IT programs for Northrop Grumman. "By working together to build a secure cyberspace, Northrop Grumman and CA Technologies will be able to better address our clients' mission needs and deliver cost-effective, low-risk solutions."
