QinetiQ to support Public Buildings Service

The General Services Administration has chosen QinetiQ North America for two task orders under the Information Technology and Development Services Blanket Purchase Agreement. The Enterprise Data Repository Management System and Building Information Modeling Server Support task orders have a combined value of $15 million over a period of six years, according to the company.

The Public Buildings-Information Technology Service (PB-ITS) program provides technology solution services for the GSA Public Buildings Service. PBS relies on EDRM system to provide needed data and reports. Under the EDRM task order, QinetiQ will advance PB-ITS’ enterprise architecture and its enterprisewide view of data critical to understanding the factors affecting cost and energy usage across the PBS inventory.

Under the BIM task order, QinetiQ has been awarded the continued development and support services for PBS’ three dimensional and four-dimensional BIM system.The BIM Server will serve as the central repository of BIM information for all GSA users.

Specific services under the BIM project are expected to include: program and project management support, release/enhancement development and implementation, operational system maintenance and application support, security and direct support to the Enterprise Service Center to support the backup/restore, user management or system reboot services to the production server.
