The General Services Administration plans to relocate several federal agencies with offices in the Bannister Federal Complext in Kansas, City, Mo., by 2015. The agencies include the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administrations National Logistics Support Center and National Reconditioning Center, and GSA itself.

GSA will issue a solicitation for new space this spring. The National Nuclear Security Administration also has offices in the facility.

The NOAA agencies will remain in the Kansas City area, according to National Weather Service director Louis Uccellini said in a statement Feb. 26.

"After an exhaustive nation-wide review of all available options, we determined that Kansas City best meets our mission effectiveness and the needs of our valued employees, he said.
