The Defense Intelligence Agency on Tuesday released a final request to industry for its $6 billion global IT services contract.

The Enhanced Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise (E-SITE) contract will provide system design, development and sustainment of IT services for DIA, the combatant commands, military services and the wider intelligence community, according to the request for proposal.

DIA expects to make multiple awards to large and small businesses under the potential $6 billion contract. E-SITE will support classified and unclassified programs on multiple networks and security domains, the RFP noted.

Specifically, DIA is looking for companies with a track record of innovation and driving adoption of cloud and mobile computing, virtualization and other new technologies. Winning vendors must be able to scale their services to demand and deal with challenging fiscal environments.

Contractors will support current transitions to the Defense Departmentís Joint Information Environment, a massive restructuring of defense IT networks. JIE will include consolidating and standardizing disparate networks and systems and providing more enterprise IT services. Companies will also assist with transition to the Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise, the IC's strategy for consolidating its technology infrastructure.
