The General Services Administration has awarded its third-generation domestic delivery blanket purchase agreement to the United Parcel Service (UPS) and Federal Express (FedEx).

The strategic sourcing agreement gives agencies low prices for shipping items across the country, according to GSA spokeswoman Cara Battaglini.

She wrote in an April 29 blog post that previous generations of the contract has saved agencies $50 million and GSA is looking to build on that for the new contract.

The new contract also includes dashboards for agencies to analyze how much they use the service and allow them to figure out how to change behaviors in order to reduce costs, Battaglini wrote.
