Public Service Recognition Week provides each of us an important opportunity to honor our government employees, who work tirelessly on behalf of the American people each and every day. As a former businesswoman who spent a majority of my career working in the private sector, I deeply value the sacrifice, skills and dedication of every member of our Commerce team, whose work supports businesses as they create jobs and strengthen our economy. I believe firmly that the Commerce Department’s most important asset is our people, and I feel honored to work with so many passionate and talented men and women every day.
