The Army has extended its Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Hardware for another year, a modification worth $774 million.

ITES-2H provides mainly small computing needs, including commercial-off-the-shelf servers, workstations, desktops, notebooks and networking equipment, as well as software and incidental services. The award goes to existing contract holders Dell Federal Systems, IBM Corp., Unicom Government, CDW Government, Iron Bow Technologies and World Wide Technology, Inc. and expires June 23, 2015.

The modification allows the Army to continue ordering equipment until the follow-on ITES-3H is awarded. The request for proposals was posted Sept. 25 2012, but the contract has yet to be awarded.
