WASHINGTON — The US Senate has confirmed Jamie Morin to head the Pentagonís Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation office and Jessica Wright to be the undersecretary for personnel and readiness.
The approval, by voice vote, comes nearly six months after President Barack Obama nominated the two for the positions.
Morin has served as the Air Force comptroller since 2009. Wright has served as the acting undersecretary for personnel and readiness since January and previously served as the assistant secretary for reserve affairs.
Major DoD civilian nominations still pending include:
■ Jo Ann Rooney, to be Navy undersecretary, nominated: Jan. 6.
■ David Bruce Shear, to be assistant secretary of defense for Asian and Pacific security, nominated: Jan. 7.
■ Brian Patrick McKeon, to be principal deputy undersecretary for policy, nominated: Jan. 30.
■ Eric Rosenbach, to be assistant secretary of defense for homeland security, nominated: Jan. 7.
■ Laura Jean Junor, to be principal deputy undersecretary for personnel and readiness, nominated: Feb. 27.
