Babcock International has been awarded a communications contract by the Norwegian Defense Logistics Organization.

Babcock will supply an Automated Control and Management System (ACMS) that will provide secure data and voice communications to Norwegian Joint Headquarters, said a company news release. The single ACMS will connect with 25 sites across Norway. It will feature multiple operator workstations.

The scalable ACMS will be fully compatible with NATO equipment. "The new system will boost capability and reliability and deliver a robust, efficient service through progressive modernization of infrastructure, integrating new technologies while maintaining simplicity for users, said Tom Mulhall, technology communications and support director for Babcock Defense Systems.
