The General Services Administration has a vacancy for an acquisition management specialist in the Federal Acquisition Service.

The position is located in the Office of Information Technology Category (formerly Integrated Technology Service) and focuses on strategies for the procurement of private-sector IT and telecommunications products, services and solutions for federal, state and local government agencies. Initiatives supported include strategic sourcing, category management, cloud, cyber, enterprise licensing agreements for software, desktop configurations and data center optimization.

Duties will include:

  • Providing ITC managers with high-level advice and guidance on contract plans.
  • Recommending best practices.
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating quality controls.
  • Developing metrics and establishing benchmarks for assigned tasks.
  • Performing contract administration activities to ensure proposals and participants are evaluated fairly and perform as expected.

This is a permanent, Washington, D.C.-based GS-14 position offering $112,021 to $145,629 per year.
