The Defense Health Agency and General Services Administration are requesting professional feedback on a draft hierarchy of GSA's IT Solutions Navigator.

The ITSN eTool is a web-based portal intended to simplify and expedite IT services and products acquisition. GSA plans to expand offerings within the ITSN to reflect the health IT marketplace, so industry partners are being asked to submit assessments of categories, product descriptions, information architecture expansion and other ways to enhance services.

This follows the summer 2016 announcement of the new Health IT Services Special Item Number (SIN 132-56) on IT Schedule 70, which makes it easier for agencies to access specialized health IT services while promoting distinguished offerings and small business participation.

Proposed ITSN additions include 26 software products and services; nine connected health services; five electronic health record services; eight health information exchange services; four health analytics offerings; a personal health records service; two innovative and emerging health IT solutions; six health informatics; and 10 assorted services including optimization, configuration, consulting, management, training, cybersecurity and regulatory management, among others.

The draft hierarchy of ITSN application health IT software and services can be viewed on GSA’s Interact website.

ITSN insights, questions, comments, revisions or recommended hierarchies must be submitted to navigator@gsa.govby Dec. 15, 2016, for consideration.
