Associate Chief Information Officer

The

is looking for an individual who can cooperate with leadership and key policy officials in the determination and formulation of policies and programs that will relate to and/or affect the Enterprise Data Center’s operations.

This individual will be tasked with:

  • Advising and counseling OCIO leadership and other officials on anything affecting or relating to the operations of the Enterprise Data Center
  • Overseeing and directing Enterprise Data Center policies and recommendations as well as coordinating with other units of OCIO, the Department, and other agencies and groups
  • Determining the Enterprise Data Center policies and plans for implementing programs
  • Directing and coordinating development of funding arrangements for the Enterprise Data Center while establishing policies and plans for ensuring solid finances for operations

Director, Information Assurance Services and Chief Information Security Officer

The

Department of Education

is looking for an individual to serve as the primary adviser for the Chief Information Officer and Deputy Chief Information Officer.

This individual will be responsible for:

  • Managing Information Assurance Services operations and ensuring the confidentiality/privacy, integrity and availability of the Department’s information and resources.
  • Acting as the recognized Departmental expert and authority on procedures, guidance, technologies, and policies that impact the cyber-security program while ensuring compliance and implementation of Federal Information Security Management Act and E-Government Act.
  • Managing the IAS operation components to ensure success
  • Assisting the CIO and DCIO in preparation of the budget justifications and compliance to federal statues and directives governing management of enterprise-wide security operations, risk management, mitigation of security vulnerabilities, and improving IT security posture.

Applicants must have Executive Core Qualifications certified by an Office of Personal Management Qualifications Review Board and required to serve a probationary period of one-year.
