Recent changes to procurement policy continue to push for more use of small businesses but that doesn't mean those same businesses are necessarily prepared to compete in the complicated world of federal acquisition.

To help, the General Services Administration Office of Small Business Utilization (OSBU) recently revamped its website, adding tutorial videos, a crisper layout and a "more diagnostic approach" to helping vendors find answers.

Specifically, the new homepage offers tips on whether contracting through GSA is best option; where to begin if it is; how GSA's vehicles — like the schedules and GWACs — work; how to win, maintain and renew contracts; and a more general resource center.
