The web portal for one of the four shared service providers available to federal agencies will be shut down temporarily in February and user agencies need to be prepared.

The Agriculture Department's Pegasys Financial Services apps will be offline from Feb. 10 through Feb. 16 while the agency completes the final phase of its Billing and Accounts Receivable (BAAR) project.

During that time, agencies won't be able to access a host of features, including CGE Travel, CCRC, FMIS, Business Objects and VCSS (full list below).

The systems need to be shut down during the update to "keep data static and to perform system validations before users access the system," according to a notice from the General Services Administration alerting users to the upcoming outage.

Before that happens, users have to clean out their inboxes and close all open Pegasys sessions, GSA said, urging employees to do this by Feb. 10. The cleanup should include all process held, rejected and approved forms.

The following services and apps will be offline from 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 10 through 12:15 a.m. on Feb. 16:

Pegasys: The application will not be available and no tasks can be performed during this time.

Purchase Card Holders: The inability to create logs during this time frame will not be subject to the "Score Card."

CCRC: The application will not be available and no tasks can be performed during this time.

VCSS: The application will not be available and no tasks can be performed during this time.

CGE Travel: Authorizations and vouchers can be processed but no payments will be processed during this time. They will automatically be processed once Pegasys becomes available; therefore, no action will be required of travelers or approvers once the vouchers are submitted.

FMIS: VATS will only be updated through the morning of Feb. 11 and will resume on Feb. 16 once Pegasys is available again.

Business Objects: Since Pegasys will be unavailable from Feb. 11-16, data in Business Objects universes that access Pegasys data will only contain data through Feb. 10 until Pegasys operations resume. Universes that do not utilize Pegasys data will be unaffected.

Users experiencing issues after 12:15 a.m. on Feb. 16 should call the Financial Systems Service Desk at 866-450-6588 or email ocfoservicedesk@gsa.gov.
