Alaska-based Eagle Harbor Solutions LLC (EHS), a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, was selected to support the Department of Defense’s acquisition of and migration to enterprise cloud services.

According to the company’s press release, EHS will support the DoD’s Cloud Executive Steering Group by devising and overseeing a strategy to accelerate the adoption of cloud architectures and services. In addition, EHS will facilitate communication Abd coordination with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Military Departments, and Combatant and Unified Commands.

“We are honored to provide this critical support for laying the foundation to accelerate enterprise cloud adoption as directed by the Deputy Secretary of Defense,” said Eagle Harbor Solutions president Todd Morgan.

Industry has been critical in the past that DoD’s cloud adoption strategy could favor the use of a single-cloud service provider, creating a monopoly within the contracting industry.
