Peters said it’ll take time to turn around the Justice Department’s largest component with 122 facilities, 159,000 inmates and a budget of over $8 billion.
The agency is making good on Chairman Ajit Pai’s October pledge to U.S. Rep. David Kustoff that he would set up the meeting to address cellphones in the hands of inmates.
