James Comey, the director of the FBI, is scheduled to speak at a cybersecurity conference at Boston College Wednesday,

The conference is expected to draw cybersecurity experts from the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, U.S. Cyber Command, IBM Security, Dell EMC, Symantec, MITRE Corporation, Mintz Levin, Raytheon, Akamai, State Street, National Grid and the U.S. Naval Academy.
"The current cyber threat warrants a healthy discussion, one we need to have at all levels, and across all industries" said Harold Shaw, the special agent in charge of Boston's FBI division.
"We believe the Boston Conference on Cyber Security will serve as a bridge between law enforcement, academia and the private sector to bring all of us together to find new and better ways of attacking the difficult cyber challenges we face, all while forging new relationships," he added.
Comey's talk is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. in the Boston College's Gasson Hall. It is part of an all-day conference set up by the FBI and Boston College, which offers a masters in cybersecurity policy and governance program.
