Grant Thornton LLP has joined the list of companies eligible to evaluate cloud security under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). The firm has achieved accreditation as a Third Party Assessment Organization.

The 3PAO status means that companies seeking to sell cloud solutions to the federal government can bring them to Grant Thornton for confirmation that they meet the security requirements spelled out in FedRAMP.To date, 39 companies have achieved accreditation, which is awarded by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation.
