The U.S. Army was pursuing more than 200 artificial intelligence-related projects as of 2021, according to a federal watchdog.
New funding mechanisms, a nonprofit and "Tech Tuesdays" helped the command find new industry partners and deliver prototypes faster.
The head of the F-35 program also said the military has recently made progress in getting access to more of the fighter's data from Lockheed Martin.
“When you have that mentality, a hiccup in the supply chain … becomes your single point of failure," the F-35's program executive officer said Monday.
