Several combat medals, including one of his Purple Hearts, adorn Corporal Edwin Glasberg’s uniform. Glasberg was wounded twice during his tours, once when a machine gun bullet grazed his face and again when a Japanese soldier stabbed him in the leg with a bayonet.
