The Office of Information Technology Category added talent to its bench, bringing on two senior executives to manage IT contract vehicles.
In a Jan. 19 blog post, ITC Assistant Commissioner Mary Davie detailed the selection of Keith Nakasone as deputy assistant commissioner for acquisition and Jose Arrieta as director of the Office of IT Schedule Contract Operations.
Nakasone, who previously served as a senior procurement executive in the Federal Communications Commission's Enterprise Acquisition Center, will oversee all acquisition vehicles — including Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS), Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) and others — while managing ITC's strategy and acquisition workforce training.
Arrieta will oversee ITC’s $15 billion IT Schedule 70 program, which includes contract vehicles for cybersecurity and health IT procurement. He had previously served in Department of Treasury’s Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization.
Davie said the pair had joined ITC on Jan. 9 and would add immediate value to the office’s operations.
"Combined, Keith and Jose bring years of experience, leadership, innovation and know-how in governmentwide acquisition, technology and customer service," she said. "And with these additions, ITC will continue to provide access to best-value information technology and telecommunications products, services and solutions to federal, state, local and tribal government organizations."
