A new course is available at no cost for federal supervisors, hiring managers and human resources practitioners. 

The new course, entitled Pay and Leave Flexibilities for Recruitment and Retention, is offered by the Office of Personnel Management. Over two hours, the course will introduce a comprehensive oversight on the flexibilities available to agencies for pay and leave for recruitment and retention. 

The free web-based instruction will go over:

  • The range of pay and leave flexibilities available
  • Coverage and approval requirements
  • Examples of their use
  • Resources for more information

The course can be found on the OPM HR University website and can be uploaded to agencies learning management systems if desired.
